Vanessa Trump shared an emotional health update on Wednesday, revealing she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is now undergoing treatment with the support of her family and doctors.

According to the New York Post, the former wife of Donald Trump Jr. announced the diagnosis in a statement posted to Instagram, where she thanked her medical team and asked for privacy as she focuses on recovery.

“I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer,” Trump wrote. “While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan.”

The 48-year-old added that she had recently undergone a medical procedure.

“I would like to thank my doctors for performing a procedure earlier this week on me,” she said.

Trump said she remains optimistic despite the difficult diagnosis and credited loved ones for helping her through the experience.

“I’m staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me,” she wrote.

“Thank you for your kindness and support it truly means more than I can express,” Trump continued. “I kindly ask for privacy as l focus on my health and recovery.”

Support quickly poured into the comments section from family members and followers.

Ivanka Trump responded publicly to the announcement, writing, “Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery. Love you mama.”

Tiffany Trump also reacted to the post.

Trump shares five children with Donald Trump Jr., with whom she was married from 2005 until their divorce in 2018. Their children are Kai, 19, Donald III, 17, Tristan, 14, Spencer, 13, and Chloe, 11.

Kai Trump later posted her own tribute to her mother on Instagram alongside a photo of the pair smiling at one another.

“Strongest person I know. Love you,” Kai wrote.

Just days before revealing her diagnosis, Vanessa Trump was photographed attending Kai’s prep school graduation in Florida alongside Donald Trump Jr. and family friends.

Earlier this year, Trump also made headlines after confirming she was dating golf star Tiger Woods.

The relationship became public in March 2025.

Woods recently returned to the United States on May 14 after spending six weeks at a rehabilitation facility in Switzerland following a March 27 car crash and DUI arrest.

The couple both own homes in Jupiter, Florida.
